Meet men’s grooming specialist Joshua Meekins and stylist Matthew Henson, the duo behind the men’s hair presentation ‘However You Want It,’ which debuted Friday, May 1, during ‘Black Hair Reimagined: The New Era of Beauty’ featuring clothes by designer Bryan Jiménez.
‘Bryan’s clothes brought me back to ‘Juice’ — early-’90s, rugged, street, bold,’ said groomer and barber Joshua Meekins, who created the hair looks for the show.
‘When I saw the clothes, that took me down a lane from when I was a young kid. Wanting to do some of the hairstyles that I couldn't because my mom wasn't going for it at the time,’ Meekins told Justsmile backstage before the models debuted their looks. ‘That rebellious energy shaped the hairstyles I wanted for the show tonight.’
